Ascot Design is proud to have earned an outstanding reputation over the last 15 years for designing, and supporting the delivery of the very highest quality architecture. Renowned for our innovative design solutions and our impeccable technical precision, we have a true commitment to perfection and offer an elite quality of service.

Highly skilled and experienced with a commitment to continued self-development, each individual within Ascot Design contributes their own speciality, allowing the practice to offer a broad spectrum of architectural expertise. From community-driven design solutions, to luxurious, bespoke family homes and housing development schemes; quality lies at the heart of everything Ascot Design does.

In the last 2 years, an emphasis has been placed on recruiting architectural professionals with vast experience in master planning. This has enabled the extension of our high-quality service to those clients requiring multiple unit sites of 50-5,000 properties, including the associated commercial, retail, community and education requirements.

We are delighted to have worked with and assisted a range of developers and national house builders, including: Bellway, Berkeley Group, Bewley Homes, Crest Nicholson, CALA Homes, Taylor Wimpey, Millgate Homes and more.

“At Bewley Homes we pride ourselves on the high quality of design, craftsmanship and construction of our developments and we demand the same high level of professionalism and competence from the architects we work with. Over the past couple of years, Ascot Design has assisted us with feasibility studies, bid submissions and planning submissions on a number of sites, ranging in size from 25 to 200 plots. I have always found them to be professional, pro-active and competent.” Geoff Wilde, Senior Land Manager, Bewley Homes.

Four key individuals play a pivotal role in our master planning unit, supported by the rest of the Ascot Design team as and when required.

Steve Punter (Associate Architect) has over 20 years’ experience as a RIBA qualified Architect and Urban Designer, specialising in residential development, typically ranging in size from 25 – 500 dwellings, and is adept at optimising existing consents to achieve an increased sales value.

Gareth McFadden (Associate Architect) boasts a long track record of specialising in commercial workplace, leisure and education architectural design, including Ascot Design’s Bracknell Town FC Redevelopment master plan, a Weybridge mixed-use residential scheme comprising 200 residential units with extensive landscaped podiums and plazas, and a new duty free shopping area at Shanghai’s Hongqiao Int. Airport, amongst many others.

Winner of an MA Distinction for Urban Planning from Oxford Brookes University, Sophia Saatchi (Urban Designer) has over 2 years experience in master planning schemes of 200-5,000 units, having successfully facilitated the delivery of The Crown Estate’s masterplan to deliver 2,500 new homes and a vibrant mixed use new community with 2.1m ft2 of commercial development.

Chris Travell (Senior Design Manager) has over 17 years of residential design experience of multi-unit schemes ranging from 10-400 plots, and has worked with many of the major prestigious UK housing developers including Barratt Homes, Linden Homes, Crest Nicholson and more.

“We listen to our clients’ wants and needs, and we proactively maximise the potential value of their asset. It’s our responsibility to interpret their requirements and to achieve their financial objectives, all whilst delivering a solution which adheres to the principles of good placemaking. Underpinning all that we do is the desire never to compromise on our signature, premium quality of design.” Steve Punter, Ascot Design.

We look forward to letting you know about the exciting master planning projects we are currently designing. As soon as we can disclose publicly, we shall be sharing our news with you all!
