Located on the prestigious Coombe Hill estate in Kingston, this unique site was considered as two distinct plots, with a newly built existing house positioned on its southern half and a large vacant space on the northern half.
The brief was to design an impressive detached residence and secure planning permission utilising the northern area of the site, whilst respecting the outlook and complimenting the architecture of the existing house to the south.
Particular attention was given to the site topography and taking advantage of scenic views over the adjacent golf course.
As the project evolved our clients became so fond of our design, they decided to demolish the existing house to the south, concerned that it would have a negative impact towards our proposal.
Ascot Design were then commissioned to design a replacement house for the southern plot, of equally high quality and one that would complement our design to the north.
