This development of 17 luxury apartments is situated on a very sensitive, Green Belt site in Berkshire and replaces an existing building with significant historic value and royal connections.
The original building was in poor condition and had been extensively adapted for purpose, for many different uses over its lifetime. The Ascot Design team liaised closely with the client, conservation and planning officers, ensuring we created a new building design, considered to be a worthy replacement.
Our solution was a large classically styled building, sympathetically designed on all elevations to enhance the 12 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds and setting. The building is divided into large apartments, each with a private outdoor space or terrace that cannot be overlooked by other residents.
To accommodate requirements of a downsizing market, all apartments have a very high specification, including impressive master suites, extensive storage and lift access to all floors.
The development also features secure underground parking, swimming pool, tennis courts and communal gardens for its residents.
We produced a 3D model and computer generated images throughout the design process, to present our concept to the team and demonstrate how the building would sit in the context of this magnificent setting.
