Ascot Design was invited by a luxury housing developer to design a collection of large detached houses set within 37 acres of beautiful grounds in Sevenoaks, Kent.
The scheme retained an existing mansion building, which was renovated and converted into apartments, and a cluster of eight new houses were located sensitively around the restored building.
Our client acquired the site with the benefit of a planning permission obtained by its previous owners. Part of our brief was to improve each property and the overall scheme in terms of design quality, floor area and potential value, as it was clear that the consented proposals did not maximise the potential of the site.
Carefully considering the characteristics of each individual plot, we created new designs that took full advantage of the far reaching views, existing topography and landscape features.
With our input the finished scheme was successful in every respect and has since become a recognised development within the local area.
