This project was designed for a private client who had a clear vision of what they wanted to achieve.
To ensure all requirements were met, Ascot Design kept the client at the heart of the design process throughout the project.
Initially our brief was to refurbish and extend the existing property, for which planning permission was achieved. Following a detailed assessment of construction costs, our client decided to pursue a replacement building for the site.
With a revised brief, Ascot Design worked closely with planning authorities to gain consent for the new property. This included the retention and protection of important trees on the site.
The design solution is a classically influenced stone and render façade, as the client preferred a white appearance to the building. Inside, the contemporary open-plan layout incorporates many modern features including the latest ‘smart home’ technology.
Computer graphics were used to produce visualisations of the building as the design evolved, so the client and planners could see how the finished property would enhance the surrounding area.
