A development of three elegant townhouses was our design solution to a very simple brief, which was to gain planning permission for a scheme that fits harmoniously into the surroundings, whilst maximising the land value of the plot.
Initially, a feasibility study was undertaken by producing simple sketches and exploring the various redevelopment options suitable for the site. After considering many factors, including advice from local estate agents relating to new home values, the concept was formed.
Internal layouts and accommodation were designed for the family market, and every square foot of floor space is efficiently used.
Following consultations with the local planning department, the external design was sensitively formed and influenced by an adjacent hotel which features a traditional façade. Stone cladding incorporating high quality architectural detailing and sash windows were among the many features that led to the success of our proposal and securing planning permission.
